At the end of Danganronpa 2, Nami and the other survivors managed to escape to the real world and decided to remain on Jabberwock Island.
Nami returns in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School with the other Remnants of Despair as a Reserve Course student and one of the candidates for the Kamukura Project. She also returns in Side: Future, with her and Azusa's personalities mixed, though she considers herself Nami Mizuki.

At the end of Danganronpa 3, Nami and Hajime succeeds in curing the Remnants of Despair from the brainwash effect and together they all decide to atone for their sins, as she believes that this ending that Chiaki Nanami hoped for.

Nami is seemingly cynical due to how she behaves, but it would be better to describe her as a realist. she is quite skeptical and tends to worry more than the other students, but his worries are often very understandable. she is logical and smart, often annoyed by the idea of not being able to understand someone or something at all.
