Nami Mizuki is the female main protagonist of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and a central protagonist in the Hope's Peak Academy Saga. she is also a participant in the Killing School Trip.

Nami originally had no talent, entering Hope's Peak Academy as a reserve course student, but she eventually received the title of Ultimate Hope (超高校級の「希望」chō kōkō kyū no “kibō” lit. Super High School Level Hope) after participating in the Kamukura Project- a brain alteration/augmentation program named after the school's founders designed to "create a genius out of the ordinary" - in which her original memories were erased. During this time, she was known as Azusa Kamukura.

At the end of Danganronpa 2, Nami and the other survivors managed to escape to the real world and decided to remain on Jabberwock Island.

Nami returns in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School with the other Remnants of Despair as a Reserve Course student and one of the candidates for the Kamukura Project. She also returns in Side: Future, with her and Azusa's personalities mixed, though she considers herself Nami Mizuki.

In the OVA Super Danganronpa 2.5: Nagito Komaeda and the Destroyer of the World, Nami appeared as the red-eyed "World Destroyers along with Hajime" who would destroy Nagito Komaeda's imaginary world. It was revealed that the World Destroyer is an Alter Ego programmed to resurrect Nagito and the rest of the Remnants of Despair from their comatose state in the Neo World Program.

At the end of Danganronpa 3, Nami and Hajime succeeds in curing the Remnants of Despair from the brainwash effect and together they all decide to atone for their sins, as she believes that this ending that Chiaki Nanami hoped for.

AppearanceEdit

Nami is a young woman in his early twenties, around 22 at youngest. Her virtual avatar in the Neo World Program appeared as her 17-year-old self.

PersonalityEdit

Nami is seemingly cynical due to how she behaves, but it would be better to describe her as a realist. she is quite skeptical and tends to worry more than the other students, but his worries are often very understandable. she is logical and smart, often annoyed by the idea of not being able to understand someone or something at all.

Nami has shown to be a caring individual
